The first unit of the Group was born in August 1991 with the establishment of Indusa – Indústria de Sanitários, Lda. corporation. In February of the following year its construction begins and in May 1993 starts the production of Vitreous sanitary ware. During one year, it doubles it´s production capacity and the number of employees. In little time it conquers consumer confidence and consolidates a quality image. The next step in business strategy came naturally, developing into an integrated range of product solutions, under a concept of global bathroom.In 1997 it acquired Grau – Fábrica de Torneiras e Acessórios, S.A. The production starts two years later, completing the existing product range, with the development of lever and dual control mixers for bathroom and kitchen, as well as accessories and other complementary products.
Following this, another unit is inaugurated in 1998, beginning the production of bathtubs, simple and hydro massage, shower trays and hydro columns in acrylic sheet.Sanindusa today can be proud of having conquered in a few years a prominent place in a sector characterized by strong business groups. It´s journey is valued for being the largest company in the Iberian Peninsula with equity and national capitals, sanitary ware and complementary producer products.

iF Design Award 2016 Sanindusa received, once again, the international recognition for the design of one of it´s models in the prestigious "iF Design Awards" The iF Design Award is among the largest and most important international design awards.

And do not talk only in the domestic market but also in foreign markets. Since the beginning of labouring in 1993 the Group exported its products and today, I am pleased that we are present with our products in 84 countries, distributed by the 4 corners of the world. Foreign markets were, from the beginning of the activity, seen as essential for the growth that the administration set out to achieve. Strategically management elected as main factors for success, quality, design, innovation, service and competitiveness.
With effort, skill and perseverance of all, we are now a globally recognized brand in the construction sector. And it is with great pride in the past that we constantly improve at all levels and thus face the future with great optimism.
